Direct Training Allowance
Description
A reimbursement of up to $300 is available to supplement eligible teams in the development of skills directly related to Ringette.
Eligible Teams
The Direct Training Allowance is available to U14, U16 and U19 teams.
Teams at other levels (Active Start, U10 and U12) receive power skating sessions and are not eligible for the Direct Training Allowance.
Eligible Costs
"Direct” is intended to capture the cost of training for on-ice skills including:
- Cost of a certified trainer; and/or
- Cost of the ice for the session; and/or
- Cost of host facility rental (e.g gymnasium, shooting lanes)
Examples of direct on-ice skills include:
- Skating skills
- Stick handling skills (gripping, passing, receiving, flipping, protecting)
- Positioning and game strategy tactics
- Goalkeeping skills and techniques
- Shooting skills
Reimbursements must be supported by appropriate documentation. In order to ensure that this allowance is not misused, only eligible training expenses will be reimbursed.
Submit your Reimbursement Request
Reimbursements are due by 1st of December and 1st of March of each season.
